Efficient and Effective
At CitrusSteam, I offer complete cleaning solutions for your carpets and upholstery. In addition to our specialist cleaning products and equipment, I operate a truck-mounted cleaning machine, which has 10 times the power of the more common portable units. I also inspect and prepare the area before cleaning and provide all power and hot water.
Coupled with our CRB brushing machine and a specialist pre-cleaning spray, I'm ideally placed to provide deep cleaning for carpets in particular. The contra-rotating brushes will pull out embedded hairs and soiling, which rinsing alone cannot reach. My efficient and effective services will leave your floors and furnishings looking brand-new!
Carpet Cleaning
I follow a seven-stage process for all carpet cleaning jobs:
Stage 1 – Pre-Cleaning Inspection
First of all, I identify the carpet or fabric type. This helps me to choose the correct cleaning solutions for each situation. I also check for any spots or stains that may need addressing.
Stage 2 – Vacuuming
Whether the customer has vacuumed or not, I always thoroughly vacuum the area we’re cleaning with our industrial unit, which ensures maximal dried soil extraction.
Stage 3 – Treatment
Next, I treat any spots or stains I have found on the carpets or upholstery during the pre-cleaning inspection.
Stage 4 – Cleaning Solution
Once I have chosen the right cleaning solution, I will apply it to the carpet surface. The choice of solution is determined by the style of carpet, i.e. whether it is synthetic (manufactured) or cotton or wool, which all need to be treated differently.
Stage 5 – CRB Deep Cleaning
I make sure that the carpet fibres are thoroughly coated in the cleaning solution, using a machine consisting of two counter-rotating brushes (CRB), which not only lift and separate the fibres but also bring any trapped soil, hair, and grit to the surface.
Stage 6 – Hot Water Extraction
After the solution has been left to dwell, it will start to break down contaminants, ready for hot water extraction. This is the method of choice for most carpet manufacturers when cleaning residential properties. Using our state-of-the-art truck mount machine, I outperform any portable cleaning machine by 10 times or more.
Stage 7 – Drying
Finally, I use professional air movers and dryers to aid the drying process. Customers benefit from clean carpets and upholstery with minimal waiting times or disruption.
What We Need
Before deep cleaning, please prepare your carpets and your property by:
- Moving All Small Items – Your carpet needs to be tidy so keep all small items (TV remotes, laptops, toys, etc.) in a safe place.
- Removing Valuable Items – I also recommend you move any valuable items such as vases and ornaments to another room for safekeeping.
- Vacuuming the Carpet – I always vacuum as part of our process, but 80% of carpet soiling is dry soiling, and the more of this you can remove, the deeper the clean we can provide.
- Moving All Furniture – Your technician will discuss this with you when I provide your on-site quote, as some items may be too heavy to be moved.
- Keeping Children and Pets Away – Safety comes first, and floors may be very slippery or covered in tripping hazards such as hoses during cleaning, so please keep children and pets in another room.
- Highlighting Any Areas of Concern – I always pay close attention to your needs, so pointing out any stains and problem areas to our technician upon arrival will help ensure they are properly cleaned.
- Saving a Parking Area – I require a parking space outside your property within reach of our hoses. Please remove any vehicles if needed and reserve a space as close to your property as possible.

Using specialist truck-mounted systems and the latest hand tools, I clean and deodorise your furniture, rinsing all the soiling out of your fabrics and upholstery while also leaving your furniture virtually dry. My expert upholstery cleaning services cover all types of furnishings, including:

- Accurate Quotes – I provide accurate on-site quotes and that’s what you’ll pay, with no added extras or bait-and-switch advertising.

- Professional Solutions – Similarly, I use the best imported cleaning solutions, tested, and approved by more rigorous US standards, rather than buying off the shelf in the UK.
- Deep Cleaning – With the addition of CRB machines, I get the hair, dander, and dirt that standard vacuuming might miss.
- Fully Trained and Insured – For your peace of mind, all my NCCA-approved cleaners are trained and insured to the highest standard.
Benefits of Hot Water Extraction
Not all carpet cleaners use the same methods, machines, or solutions, and choosing a carpet cleaning company that uses the wrong equipment or solutions can have a detrimental effect on your furnishings. The benefits of using hot water extraction in carpet cleaning include:
- Breaking Down Pollutants – Once the solution is sprayed onto the carpet and it has broken down any pollutants, the carpet is rinsed out with plain hot water, getting rid of any residue that might affect people with health issues such as allergies or asthma.
- Deeper Cleaning – Hot water extraction is more effective than any other method in flushing all the soiling that lurks deep down in the carpet pile.
- Fibre-Friendly Treatment – What’s more, the moisture in the hot water helps to fluff up the fibres in your carpet for a cleaner and softer finish.
Offering 100% Guaranteed Satisfaction
If you’re not happy with my carpet or upholstery cleaning services, I will re-clean or refund.
